Job Description

The essential function of the position within the organization is to plan and manage projects and provide assistance to judges and staff to facilitate efficient and effective court operations. The position is responsible for preparing written reports and directing court studies on the development and implementation of state-level policies for the state court system with a goal of improving court operations and accountability. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

Education and Training Guidelines

Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.  

Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, information technology, business management, public or business administration, social science or a closely related field and five years of related experience.

Three years of research and analysis experience is preferred.

Requires some responsibility for safety and health of others and/or for occasional enforcement of the standards of public safety or health.

Special Comments

Knowledge of Florida’s court system is preferred.  This position conducts research and evaluation of statewide policies and programs within the State Courts Systems, at the direction of the Chief Justice.  The successful candidate must be able to prepare and present meeting materials, reports, summaries, data tables, flow charts and other study-related documents.
