OPS Instructional Designer (Part-time)
Office of the State Courts Administrator, Innovations and Outreach, Tallahassee, Florida
The Office of the State Courts Administrator is seeking one to two part-time Instructional Designers to work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and teams to:
- design and develop self-paced, online educational modules using Articulate Storyline;
- provide training to staff on the fundamentals of instructional design principles, content development, and use of Articulate Storyline 360; and
- review and update office guidelines for creation of instructional modules.
The successful candidate(s) will work a flexible schedule from 10 – 25 hours weekly.
Education and Training Guidelines
Certificate in Instructional Design or Systems; current student in Instructional Design or Systems; Master’s degree in Instructional Design or Systems or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with Articulate Storyline 2 or Articulate 360 required.
Ability to collaborate effectively on project teams, especially with SMEs
Must follow all project guidelines and specifications for procedures, accessibility, Articulate Storyline 360, media use, instructional design, and visual design.
Coordinates or determines time, place, or sequence of operations or activities based on analysis of data and possibly executes determinations or reports on events.
Negotiates or exchanges ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate programs, or arrive jointly at decisions,
conclusions, or solutions.
Has minimum responsibility for only small quantities of low cost items or supplies where opportunities for achieving economies or preventing loss are negligible.
Uses practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions, measurements, or logarithms; may use
algebraic solutions of equations and equalities, deductive geometry, and/or descriptive statistics.
Reads abstracts, and legal documents; writes reports; makes presentations to professional groups.
Complexity of Work:
Performs work involving the application of logical principles and thinking to solve practical problems within or applying
to a unit or division of the organization; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results.
Leads or handles machines, tools, equipment or work aids involving moderate latitude for judgment regarding attainment of a
standard or in selecting appropriate items, such as projectors, computers, peripherals, or software programs, such as word
processing or custom applications.
Physical Demands:Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
Each position is from 10 to 15 hours weekly. The length of employment is 5 to 6 months.
