** FAPM 4th Canned Food Drive--A Resounding Success**
by: Bruce A. Blitman

At the 14th Annual Dispute Resolution Conference, the Community Involvement Committee of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators' (www.tfapm.org) held its fourth Canned Food Drive. We asked conference attendees to donate (at least) one can of food for the needy-and, once again, they generously reponded. The food was collected by the Salvation Army. Cash donations of $257.00 as well as 76 cans of food we collected, helping to feed many hungry men, women and children. We've been told that every dollar contributed to the organization enables it to provide up to $9.00 in food value, so your donations go a long way.

Many thanks to those of you who generously contributed to our food drive. Special thanks to Sharon Press and Kimberly Ann Kosch of the DRC for promoting the Academy's Food Drive in the DRC's conference materials and including an announcement about the Food Drive at the beginning of the Conference.

The Community Involvement Committee's Fifth Food Drive will take place at The Academy's Annual Spring Training in 2006. We will sponsor our 6th Food Drive in conjunction with the Dispute Resolution Center's Annual Conference in Orlando in August, 2006. We hope you will all donate (at least) one can of food when you attend these seminars. If you do not have the time to shop or do not want to pack non-perishable food when you travel, you are welcome to contribute with a tax-deductible financial gift.

With your continued support, we know these food drives will be successful. Thanks for your assistance and for helping us make a difference in the communities in which we live and practice. Best wishes for Good Health, Good Luck and Good Mediation.
