Administrative Assistant III

$3,009.61 - $5,718.26 (Monthly*)
*The successful candidate will be hired at the minimum salary.
The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide complex accounting, administrative, program coordinating and clerical support. The position is responsible for programs and administrative and clerical tasks/functions of responsibility. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Education and Training Guidelines:
Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience.
Compiles, examines, or evaluates data or information (particularly budgetary information) and possibly recommends action based on results.
Position provides direct administrative and clerical support to 20 professional staff.
Has responsibility and opportunity for achieving considerable economies and/or preventing considerable losses through careful budget management.
Uses addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; may compute ratios, rates, and percents.
Must have the ability to Read and understand instructions, regulations, procedures, or work orders; composes business letters, complex reports and manuals.
Complexity of Work:
Performs coordinating work involving purchasing, budgeting and related administrative support matters; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results or frequent exposure to unusual pressure.
Impact of Decisions:
Makes decisions with moderately serious impact - affects work unit and may affect other units.
Handles machines, tools, equipment, or work aids involving moderate latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standard or in selecting appropriate items, such as computers, peripherals, or software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets or custom applications.
*This position is grant funded through federal Dependency Court Improvement Program.
