Current Job OpportunityDate: November 13, 2012 Closing Date: November 28, 2012 (Date Extended) Position Number: OPS Position Title: Custodial Worker (Part Time) (20 hrs/week) Job Location: Florida Supreme Court, Marshal's Office, Tallahassee, Florida Salary: $10.00 (Hourly) The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform cleaning tasks. The position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned building(s) and performing heavy maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or setting up courtrooms or conference rooms. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures. Education and Training Guidelines:Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis. A high school diploma or equivalent. Two years of experience in custodial work may substitute for the recommended education. Competencies:Data Responsibility: People Responsibility: Assets Responsibility: Mathematical Requirements: Communications Requirements: Complexity of Work: Impact of Decisions: Equipment Usage: Special Comments:*7:30am to 11:30am – Monday through Friday Some duties include sweep, mop and scrub floors, stairs (inside and outside building), and other surfaces; use light and heavy (industrial type) floor machines and attachments; scrub, strip, wax and polish floors using heavy (industrial type) powered scrubber and buffers; vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; shampoo rugs periodically using heavy vacuum cleaner and rug shampooing machine; and clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, door trim and chalk boards.
