OPS Information Systems Consultant II

The position is responsible for participating in all aspects of data management including data acquisition, preparation, quality, governance and analysis. The position is responsible for implementing and maintaining data management systems, software applications and associated hardware. The position is responsible for developing computer programs to process and warehouse data, assisting end users in transmitting and receiving data, troubleshooting systems, and upgrading software.
Education and Training Guidelines
Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems or a closely related field and five years of related experience.
Conducts research to discover new methodologies or to find solutions for unresolved problems.
Instructs or trains others through explanation, demonstration, and supervised practice, or by making recommendations on the basis of technical disciplines.
Requires some responsibility for achieving minor economies and/or preventing minor losses through the handling of or accounting for materials, supplies, or small amounts of money.

This is a professional position responsible for assisting the Data Administration unit in Court Services in support of the Uniform Case Reporting (UCR) project. This position will assist staff in developing the extraction, translation and loading (ETL) programs and processes to manage the routine submission of case activity data submitted by clerks of court. This position will also assist Data Administration staff in the verification of clerk data submissions and the validation of data submitted. The position may also assist in similar work related to the enhancement of other UCR data sub-systems as required by the UCR project schedule.
The position will focus on the development work necessary to enhance the JDMS infrastructure and UCR data systems using tools and practices as established by Data Administration. All work to be performed using tools and best practices as established by the Data Administration section.
Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL experience required. Experience with Git and python preferred.
